Skin Cancer

When we went to the lake on Saturday, I put sunscreen on twice in the five hours we were in the sun. Apparently that wasn't good enough because I got burned really badly. The tops of my thighs, my shoulders, arms, chest, and back are still bright red. And I got some blisters on one of my shoulders. I've never blistered before - this is BAD!
The worst part is that I'm a prime candidate for skin cancer. Remember this post? And this one? Now I'm super worried about getting skin cancer. And I'm so mad because I thought that I was being careful with my two coats of sunscreen. :(

Girl- that is not good. How frustrating that you actually put on sunblock too! maybe it is because you didnt go tanning in the bed to build up that base? ha, i have some out there theories, no?

awww...that's too bad. I find it's always worse around water...cause the water reflects the sun??? i'm super afraid of getting skin cancer because I was a lifeguard for so long. I am to the point these days that I'm CONSTANTLY putting on sunblock- like at least every two hours. When I'm around water I make sure to wear a hat. Banana Boat Sport SPF 30 works the best for me. I was outside from 7am-11pm on saturday and did get color, but not burned- YEA! So sorry about your blisters...bring on the aloe.
